About

When I was one and a half years old, I had a severe illness which almost took my life. I was a fighter and lived, but the sickness left me profoundly deaf. After this happened my vision grew stronger and I began to notice details everywhere that my family did not. Then when I was a toddler, my artsy mother started giving me sculpting clay, paints, colored markers, colored pencils and tons of paper to draw and paint on. Thanks to mom I had a great opportunity to express myself through art. Sculpting, painting, and drawing became a great passion of mine, and my confidence and creativity grew. I realize that my disability is also a gift. I can not hear all the beauty that life has to offer, but I can sense and see it very well. So, I decided to nurture my love of art and become an artist.

I graduated with a degree in Industrial Design from Rochester Institute of Technology. RIT has amazing support services for thousands of deaf people. I met the most beautiful young woman who is also a deaf artist. We are currently engaged. We both love art, traveling, and eating new foods. You can check out my fiancé's blog.

We are transitioning to become full-time artists.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, or interest in buying my artwork.
